You’re afraid that it was nothing, that he’s forgotten it already, tossed you like yesterday’s paper, and moved on without another thought. And if he’s forgotten, then it’s almost as if it never happened, that what you had with him wasn’t real, and that makes you feel completely and utterly alone.

Am I really overreacting, is rape actually hilarious?
Please reblog if you think rape is not hilarious and is something you shouldn’t joke about. (I don’t expect this to get many notes I just need to make this post because I am so angry and I’m sorry because I don’t really know what I’m taling about).
"Rape is hilarious" No it’s not, not at all.  He was making jokes about rape so I called his voice stupid.  He then asked for nudes, he then gave my kik username to some people and they posted it to twitter saying I was a horny girl, combined the three people who posted it have over 10,000 followers so far I have gotten 20 new conversations with disgusting boys, one said he saw my kik name on twitter saying I wanted to get raped, others are asking for pics and wanting to "have fun."  This is disgusting.  This is all because I defended rape victims and because I didn’t send my nudes, which I would never do, especially not to some 16 year old boy.
Boys need to stop thinking its okay to joke about rape, it’s never okay.
Boys need to stop thinking its okay to rape, its never okay.
Boys need to stop thinking its okay to ask for nudes.
Boys need to stop acting like children when they don’t get what they want.
Boys need to learn how to respect females.
Everyone needs to respect others and treat them the way they want to be treated (which I didn’t do when I insulted his voice over skype where these jokes began which I regret greatly).
Imagine a world where everyone respected each other, where no one insulted the other person, where no one made offensive jokes.
I wish the world didn’t have people like this but unfortunately they are everywhere and always be everywhere.
This is why I need feminism, because of boys like this, the poison in our society.
And to end since I don’t know what I’m talking about here are some quotes about rape culture:
“The fact is, rape is utterly commonplace in all our cultures. It is part of the fabric of everyday life, yet we all act as if it’s something shocking and extraordinary whenever it hits the headlines. We remain silent, and so we condone it…Until rape, and the structures – sexism, inequality, tradition – that make it possible, are part of our dinner-table conversation with the next generation, it will continue. Is it polite and comfortable to talk about it? No. Must we anyway? Yes.”‘To protect our children, we must talk to them about rape”

“Let’s talk about rape for a moment. Rape is not what George Lucas did to your childhood. Rape is not what happens when a sports team beats another sports team by a wide margin. Rape is not what happens when your electric bill is higher this month than it was last month. Rape is when a person violates another person in the most despicable, degrading way imaginable and among the myriad of terrible things humans can do to one another, rape is among the worst. I think the casual misappropriation of the concept of rape extending all the way to its widespread comical usage is disgusting even by Internet standards. Off my chest.”
